ORIGIN OF: SUMMER NG
I’m Summer — a life coach, tea practitioner, and three-time cervical cancer survivor. My story isn’t just one of survival — it’s one of return.
Return to stillness. To self. To soul.
At 24, I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Over the years, I faced three battles with it — each one more humbling than the last. But what I learned along the way is that healing doesn’t begin in the body. It begins in the heart. In the mind. In the deep, quiet places within us we often overlook.
Through art of tea— that I found the root of my healing. I discovered that no diet, treatment, or wellness trend could replace the power of going inward and tending to my emotional and spiritual well-being.
In 2020, Summer Origin was born — a lifestyle brand and personal calling that invites others to do the same: to return to their origin, to rediscover who they were before the world told them who to be.
By introducing tea living, intuitive coaching, and reflective practices, I offer a sanctuary for those navigating emotional pain, life transitions, or simply seeking deeper meaning. Each session is a sacred space — gentle, grounding, and real.
I believe everything happens for a reason. And often, the reason is to bring us home — not just to a place, but to ourselves.
So if you’re ready to begin again, I welcome you to try Summer Tea Living —
with tea in hand, heart open, and sunlight on your path.

ORIGIN OF: SUMMER TEA LIVING
In today’s world, we’re blessed with many beautiful ways to live with more intention. There’s Slow Living, Mindful Living, the Danish art of Hygge, and the Japanese philosophy of Ikigai — each offering its own unique rhythm of wellness, simplicity, and joy.
At Summer Origin, I invite you to explore them all — not to be limited by any single one, but to experience life as a continuous journey of learning and rediscovery. That, to me, is the spirit of Summer Tea Living — open-hearted, curious, playful, and deeply present.
Remember how, as children, we looked forward to summer holidays? Not just because school was out, but because summer promised adventure. It meant trying new things, visiting new places, and discovering something new about the world — and ourselves.
That’s the essence of Summer Tea Living.
It’s a way of life that celebrates warmth, wonder, and renewal — while gently encouraging us to go inward, to explore our emotions, listen to our senses, and reconnect with our truest self.
It might be something as simple as taking a walk after the rain, feeling the breeze on your skin, or noticing laughter echoing through the air. Or it might mean sitting with emotions that arise — even the uncomfortable ones — and asking what they’re trying to tell you.
Healing begins when we stop pushing things away and start listening within.
This is the journey I call The Art of Summer Tea Living.

Summer Origin was born from the quiet, honest search for something deeper — a return to the root of who we are.
Along my own healing journey, I’ve met many others carrying silent burdens — whether through emotional pain, mental exhaustion, or illnesses like cancer. What I noticed was a common misconception: that healing is purely physical, and that recovery only lies in treatments, medications, diet, or fitness routines.
While these are important, they only touch the surface.
True healing requires something more — a willingness to go inward. To explore the origin of our dis-ease.
To face what’s hidden beneath.
I myself relapsed twice, not because I didn’t try hard enough, but because I hadn’t yet understood the emotional and spiritual roots of my illness. And when the root remains, it finds new ways to grow.
The process of going inward can feel daunting — but it doesn’t have to be. What I discovered is that it can be illuminating, liberating… even joyful. Because it’s in that journey that we begin to truly meet ourselves. We begin to understand what we need, what we yearn for, and what’s been waiting inside us to heal.
Summer Origin is a space created for those ready to embark on that journey.
It’s for those who are tired of treating the symptoms and are now ready to return to the soul.
Through tea living, coaching, and rituals rooted in presence, I offer gentle guidance for those willing to emerge from their cocoons and awaken to their own light — like butterflies in quiet rebirth.
This brand is not just a business. It’s my art of life — shared with an open heart, in hopes of helping others remember who they are, and to walk forward with calm, courage, and joy.

FAQs
What were some difficulties you faced in your life and how did you overcome them??
My deepest challenges stem from childhood trauma and abuse, alongside battling cancer three times. Interestingly, cancer — though life-threatening — was the easier part. That was physical. The true battle was mental: healing the wounds that couldn’t be seen.
I remember asking the usual question — “Why me?” — and feeling consumed by self-pity. That shifted the day I came across a video of Nick Vujicic, a man born without arms or legs, living a life of purpose and impact. It shook me. Here I was, with a body that could walk, see, hear, and feel — yet I was lost in what I lacked. That moment awakened a deep sense of gratitude in me.
When I began focusing on what I already had, I stopped feeling hopeless. I stopped complaining. Gratitude became my medicine.
And through it all, tea was my anchor. Each cup created a quiet space for me to reflect, to feel, and to come back to my senses — grounding me when everything else felt unsteady.
What is your vision / personal motto?
“Everything happens for a reason — and it’s always for a good one”
Even when the reason isn’t clear right away, I trust that life is guiding me toward growth, healing, or something better than I imagined.
What unique challenges have you faced as a woman in your industry?
One unique challenge I’ve faced as a woman in this space is being underestimated — especially when choosing a path that’s more intuitive, soulful, and non-traditional. In a world that often values hustle over harmony, it took courage to stay rooted in softness, stillness, and sincerity.
I overcame it by trusting my own journey, even when it didn’t look like anyone else’s. I leaned into grace when things felt heavy, and grit when I needed strength. Most of all, I stayed true to my values — and let my work speak for itself.
What do you do in your free time as self care? How do you unwind?
I’ve always loved ending the day with a good massage. I invested in a second-hand massage chair — I actually enjoy second-hand items. It feels like such a waste to throw things away when they’re still in great condition, and being eco-friendly is really important to me.
As part of my self-care, I also do facial gua sha and full-body moxibustion, usually alternating between that and a massage depending on what my body needs. And of course, I always have a cup of tea with me — it helps me slow down, ground myself, and gently transition into rest. These little rituals bring me back to center, no matter how the day has been.
How do you stay grounded and aligned with your purpose while scaling your brand or community?
I stay grounded by regularly returning to stillness — through tea, prayer, and quiet reflection. These rituals help me reconnect with my "why" and remind me that growth isn’t just about numbers, but about depth and authenticity.
As I scale, I stay aligned by choosing intention over urgency, and service over ego. I let God lead the way, and trust that when I stay true to my purpose, the right people and opportunities will flow naturally.
What does building a community (not just a customer base) mean to you, and how do you foster that connection?
Building a community, to me, is about nurturing a circle of shared presence — where hearts meet, stories are honored, and no one feels alone in their journey.
It’s about holding space. I foster this connection by showing up authentically, creating moments of stillness through tea, and inviting gentle conversations that spark inner truth. When people feel safe to be themselves, a true community naturally blossoms — rooted in trust and kindness.
What inspired you to start your brand, and how does your personal story shape your mission today?
My journey began with my own healing. After surviving cancer three times, I turned to tea as a way to reconnect with myself. Over time, I realized how powerful it was — not just as a drink, but as a practice of stillness and reflection. That’s when I felt called to support others on their own journeys, combining life coaching with the art of tea.
I created the brand 'Summer Origin' to guide others back to their true essence — to return to their origin and embrace their originality. Just like summer holidays, this journey is meant to be one of gentle exploration, self-discovery, and soulful adventure.
